Dear diary, I am going to die. Well, obviously. That sounds pretty existential, so let me clarify: I am going to die in the very near future. There are a number of ways it could happen now and none of them are very appealing. Every trip Ive ever taken has involved some sort of disaster: arriving at the bus terminal late, lost luggage, flight cancellations. But Id never experienced a plane crash before.
I was going to Paris. I told my wife it was a business trip b
| I'm a portrait artist, and I love drawing people and faces. I've been drawing most of my life, but my favorite style (white pencil on black paper) I've been doing for about 10-12 years. I consider my work to be Hyper-realism, as while I do base my work on photographic reference, I take the photos myself, and make creative changes to it to get the dramatic look I want. I also do photography portraiture, but in a fantasy/illustrative style rather than a traditional one. |

Keep that art flowin' & enjoy the day!
Miss A.
Your stuff is great! I don't see too many light on dark work out there, especially ones that are really good like yours.
What can I say, I love the dramatic look of color or white on black. I still haven't gotten up the nerve to try something in white myself though. Maybe one day soon.
I ran over to ST and added you as a contact there.
It's a great site for sharing and learning about colored pencil, pastels, and graphite work. Some really sweet, knowledgable, and terrific artists there.
